Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>sbs (more info?)

Ex 2003 SBS - click on Folders then "Public Folders" - get the following:

- "The operation failed because of an HTTP error 501 (not implemented)
verify that the ExAdmin cirtual root exists on the destination server" - "id
no c1030af7 exchange system manager".

any idea how i sort this out?

cheers
andy

I tried the steps described as you described on

and still get the error ID no c1030af7

Hi John,

Thanks for your post.

Before we go further, I would like to confirm that are you experiencing the
same issue described in KB839744 article when trying to expand the public
folder store by using Exchange System Manager and exact error message " The
operation failed because of an http error 501 (not implemented). Verify
that the exadmin virtual root exists on the destination server. ID no:
c1030af7" ?

If so, have you completely finished the steps to re-create the Exadmin
virtual directory in IIS? Have you tried restart SBS server again?

If issue persists now, please help me collect some information for further
investigation:

Information Need
==============
1. Check event viewer for related information, please help save it to
*.evt and send to me at v-robmen.RemoveThis@microsoft.com .
2. If possible, please capture some screenshot when the error messages
appear and send them to me : v-robmen.RemoveThis@microsoft.com

Hope this helps. Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Best regards,

Robbin Meng(MSFT)
