Post subject: W2003 + SP1 => Uncomplete Hardware inventory
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>general (more info?)

Hello,

On indentical serveur installed with W2003 SP1, we obtain uncomplete
hardware inventory
since SP1 (compared to some without SP1 installed). exemple of what we are
missing .

- BIOS, serial number, version
- RAM, Slot infomraiton (used, free, RAM Type,etc..)
- Others.

Clearly it's the SP1, but I'm not an expert of what is WMI's configuration,
and strangly
I don't find any help on this subject on the Net. I tried multiple inventory
tools, all with
the same results.

Can someone please help me, or direct me to web pages on the subject (WMI,
local strategy to modify,
WMI's configuration to change,..)

Much appreciated.

Conrad
