Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>general (more info?)

Hi,

I encountered a problem with the Task scheduler with Windows 2003 standart
edition.

I'll want to make a scheduled task that launch a .bat file. The .bat file
works great (tested in command prompt).
I assign my save user to do this task. When I have an interactive session
opened with my save user, and then I launch the task manually, it work. But
if I close my session, the task does not launch, and I found this error ine
the log :
"backup.job" (backup.bat) **ERROR**
0x80070005: Access is denied.
Try using the Task page Browse button to locate application.

My save user have full ntfs permission on both .bat and .job directory.

Please need help Smile

PS/ sorry for my poor English :p

It occurs when any user account, has an empty password. The 0x80070005 error code can be resolved by creating a user account password which can be employed to operate the application. So, the presence of error code 0x80070005 implies that access is not allowed to the user to carry out a specific task.

follow the steps:-
Step 1:Firstly, you need to Click “Start” and select the “Control Panel”
Step 2: Control panel will appear on your computer monitor. Click twice on the “User Accounts”
Step 3: Once you strike “User Account” you have to pick a task with option “create a new account”
Step 4: Now, write new password and then hit on Create Password.
Step 5: You can check your newly created account settings by sign off and then sign in again.
Step 6: Finally, to rearrange the options of this task, open your Task Scheduler and when prompted give the password and user name. Now, you have complete access to

control the task.
