Post subject: Sharepoint?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>general (more info?)

I remember reading a long time ago that there may be a way to create what
may be called a 'sharepoint' and that the sharepoint can be replicated
across two servers and act as one shared drive. If one of the servers goes
down, the sharepoint can still be accessed.

Anyone know what I am talking about and where I could get more information
on this?

Found it...

It's called the Distributed File System.

Thanks all

SharePoint is essentially a management system based on the Web that allows employees to gather and configure resources through a common platform. It allows a company to provide resources such as project portals, extranets and websites team.
SharePoint is a Microsoft product and used to build information portals in the enterprise. The portal allows people to connect with the information in the organization.
SharePoint looks much more professional. It comes at a price, but offer a range of services designed for large enterprises.
