General info that may just help one or two.

Since installation of full SP1 on SBS Premium, including SQL 2000 SP4 I ran
into the same issues that many seem to be experiening.

- Every 5 x seconds event 1000 #50070 that STS_config could not be opened.
- No Companyweb.
- Can not start sharepoint at all.
- SQLAgent Sharepoint quicks with "Not allowed to run".
Also found major problems with ArcServe 11.1 being unable to restrore any
master db, although restores of other db's was ok.

All please note that only the disabling of the SP Timer service will stop
the 5 x second error 1000 logging (which puts the server on it's knees since
it does little apart from try to start Sharepoint).

Tried just about every fix I could find, none worked.
Have now re-installed SQL 2000 SP4 and re-installed sharepoint as per
KB829114.
Things are now working again - apart from :
- Still get "not allowed to run" from SQLAgentSharepoint.
- Have not yet tested master db restores from ArcServe.
(Have a call open with MS that may get a few things clarified).

Note, had no major data in companyweb so a Sharepoint re-install did not
involve a restore of all companyweb data for us.

Well, we are a few steps further than we were, will post more if I get other
matters fixed. ........."if".
