Hi

We are moving from SBS2000 to SBS2003 (with SQL)

When moving the SQL database, is it possible to just copy the folder or
should we backup and restore.

The sql database is for a custom program.

Thanks

Steven

No, you cannot just copy the folder. You should consult your custom
application's documentation on how to perform backups and restores - it
may have a ready-built solution. If it doesn't, you'd want to use regular
SQL backup/restore methods.

Hi Steven

For easiest migration check out SBSMigration.com for Swing Migration. This
allows you to keep same Domain name and keep Production server on line until
you are ready to plug WS's into new server with no fiddling.
