Post subject: SBS 2003 Administer Windows Updates to Clients
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>sbs (more info?)

I currently have SBS2003 set up with dual NIC and two clients on a
switch on the LAN side. What is the best way (and can someone list all
the possible ways) to have the clients get their Windows Updates
automatically. Right now if I go to a client computer and go to the
Automatic Updates section none of the radio buttons are dotted (not
even the one to turn it off) which leads me to believe that the domain
controller with the AD is handling the updates. Correct me here!

Basically I want to know if I can have the SBS download the updates for
these clients and then disperse the updates automatically - or do I
have to have each client setup to have it download the updates?

Thanks!
