Post subject: Resize W2003 System Partition

Hello all...i inherited a w2003 sp2 server with 2 ntfs 150gb hd's, Raid 1 mirroring of a c: and d: partitioned drive configuration. c: part is 20gb and now perilously close to full. d: is 130gb. installed on D: is wsus and wwwroot for IIS web server of some web pages.

my immediate issue is the limited space on the c: partition. can i use something like partition magic to try a resize c: and d: on disk0 (or disk1) and have the 2nd mirrored drive handy if the resize does not work? Is there a better approach?

I'd like to install new SEPM which takes some space and possibly try an upgrade to w2008stnd x86.
tnx

Supported operating systems are:

Windows 95 / 98 / Me / NT (including Server) / 2000 (including Server and Advanced Server) / XP / 2003 Server.

After installation Acronis PartitionExpert 2003 lets you create a bootable diskette or CD to create or restore disk image on a computer with any operating system.

Partition Magic will do the trick. Otherwise use Norton Ghost to copy the partition onto another HD, and reinstall. This time be sure to us plenty of space. Another option might be to create an extended partition if you have some unused gigs on your HD.
