I have the pop3 email connector configured and email is coming in from the
outside just fine. We cannot send any outgoing email to any address other
than out intranet. Please tell me what I'm missing. Thanks!

The POP3 Connector is only for incoming mail. To configure outgoing mail run
the Connect to Internet Wizard (CEICW) from the Todo List in Server Mgmt
Console and choose either DNS or Smarhost for outgoing mail.

am having the same type of problem. Even so, all was fine until about a
week ago. I have rebooted the server, I ran through the internet setup... I
am not sure what else to do, because I haven't changed settings and
mysteriously my outgoing email (with the exception of those internally set up
for pop 3 connector) just disappears.

The email does show up in the user's Outlook sent folder, and if I follow
the email it looks like it is going through all steps to include passing off
to the ISP. I have my email set up to be used internally only, but the
managers have internet email addresses through our local ISP that they
communicate to the outside with.

Any suggestions? Did you resolve your issue?
