Some Office 2003 Updates not showing up?

Post subject: Some Office 2003 Updates not showing up?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>update_services (more info?)
I have a test machine running a clean install of Office 2003 with service
pack 1. The problem that I am having is that two Office 2003 updates are not
being installed with WSUS. KB887979 and KB887982 are the updates that are not
comming in. I checked the whole WSUS database for thse updates and they don't
seem to be in there. I synchronized manually and still nothing. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

If they're not there.... which seems to imply you haven't approved
them...what makes you think the client will be able to install them?

Did I miss something?

I think that Office Update for WSUS is still in beta and all updates arent
available yet...

Read it somewhere.

I found that the updates are there but it is not installing them on the test
computer. It keeps on saying that they are not needed. But when I go to
Microsoft Office updates web site it still says that I need those updates.

SQL Server 2000 SP4 not showing in update list? - I have set WSUS to download service packs (and have explicitly made sure the SQL 2000 was selected under products and classifications section of Synch options). The WSUS server does not ever download or see any SQL 2000 updates however, including SP4....
