Post subject: NTbackup and admin share
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>security (more info?)

Hi Everyone !

I have installed 2 new WIN2003 serveur on our network.... And I want to
configure backup (ntbackup) on one WIN2003 server to backup the data on the
other WIN2003 server... But when I browse (in ntbackup) to obtain the server
list and the share list of my server, I can't view the hidden share (ex:
\\servername\c$ or \\servername\sharename$ ), like I do with NTBackup in
Win2000 (I can view hidden share when I browse from a Win2000 server).... Is
this another security feature ? And if yes.... How can I disable this to be
able to browse hidden share and save my selection to use it in a batch file
?

Thank's in advance !
