Post subject: Can NT4 BDC remain on network after upgrade to Windows 2003 AD ?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>migration (more info?)

We are migrating from an NT4 domain to a Windows 2003 AD.

We currently have an NT4 PDC (server1) and NT4 BDC (server2).

The plan is to take the NT4 PDC offline. Promote the NT4 BDC to NT4 PDC.
Bring the old NT4 PDC (Server1) back on line an it then becomes the BDC.

Upgrade the NT4 PDC (server2) to Windows 2003 AD. At this point can the NT4
BDC remain on the network ?
