Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>migration (more info?)

I have performed some testing by building a BDC on our domain,
installing it into a test environment promoting to PDC and upgrading
to W2003. I have used the NT compatible mode. Currently I can login in
using the same login as NT userid\domain name. At what point will the
login change to the userid @ domain? When I goto 2000 & 2003 mode? Or
native?

Thanks,
LB

Hi LB,

Thank you for your post.

You can use the User Principal Name (UPN) to log on to a Windows 2000/2003
domain. By default, the user has a UPN suffix of "@domain_name". You can
find it in the user account's properties in Active Directory Users and
Computers.

Please note that you need to type the full domain name not just the domain
NETBIOS name. For example: user.RemoveThis@domain.com.

Have a nice day!

Regards,
Bob Qin
