Hello,
If the NTFS permission is set for "domain users" or "Domain Admins", you
have to reassign the permission. You can use the utility subinacl.exe.
Cause: the group "domain users" and "Domain Admins" are built in groups,
which do not migrate.
Thanks.

| I'm testing migrating our NT domain to a Windows 2003 domain. I've
| successfully used ADMT2 to copy the users to the new domain. Since I
have a
| trust setup between the domains, I tried copying (as administrator) files
| from the source (NT) domain to the target (2003) domain over a network
| share. The NTFS permission didn't come through.
|
| I need to copy user and department directories. Should I use CACLS for
| this, or is there something else to use? I only have 30 users and a few
GB
| of directories, but it would be a supreme pain in the a$$ to have to
reapply
| the NTFS permissions.
|
| Many thanks,
| Rob
