Hi,

I am planning to migrate the WSUS 2.0 to 3.0, the 2.0 is running with a
stand alone SQL 2000 standard edition, I know that 3.0 needs to run on SQL
2005.

Therefore, I would like to do the following:
- Install a SQL 2005 as another instance on the same machone
- Upgrade the WSUS 2.0 to 3.0 and use the new SQL 2005, not the windows
internal database.

My question is, what is the upgrade path if I want to do the upgrade?

Thanks.

The 2.0 to 3.0 upgrade will only allow your WSUS DB in SQL 2000 to be
upgraded to windows internal database. If you want to migrate to SQL 2005,
follow the following:
