Post subject: Microsoft Windows Server Update Services could not create the data
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>update_services (more info?)
During install I get the error: Microsoft Windows Server Update Services
could not create the database. For more information, see the Setup logs
"C:\Program Files\Update Services\LogFiles\WSUSCa_050616_0910.log" and
"C:\Program Files\Update Services\LogFiles\WSUSSetup_050616_0910.log" .


I installed WSUS but later had to remove it due to a problem with IIS
I re-installed IIS end now, when I re-install WSUS everything seems to be
fine up-till he try to configure the database. Then he just stops and perform
a full rollback

He installs ASP.NET1.1 (strange because I have the impression that it is
allready there)
Then he install WMSDE (Copy, registering,new services)
After this he installs WSUS (copy file...-> configuring database

and then he perfoms a rollback....I include the logs in an email but include
the part were it goes wrong here also!

- Win 2003 server SP1
- domain controller
- exchange server with OWA

Any help would be great
