LAN security and Laptops

We are trying to force all laptop users to be only able to connect to
the LAN by wireless connection and not by pulling out a lan cable from a
desktop and pluging into their laptop..

How can we enforce this?? Is it possible to remove DHCP or some type of
authentication joining the network? We do not use a domain just a
workgroup within the LAN.

Any suggestions??

Enable 802.1x on the wired network and deny the laptops group access in the
RADIUS policy. Requires support in the network switches.

Why would you do that?
