Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>general (more info?)

How do I get a list of all installed applications on a Windows Server?

In Linux and Solaris I could achieve this using, RPM & pkginfo commands,
installed RPM, PKGADD, and AIX ones.

Is there a way I could do this in Windows too?

Maybe inventory the Registry \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE (or something)

I need to do this from the command prompt and generate a list of all applications.
