I am looking more for a program/server i can put in a central point on
the network that can pull information from all servers (all flavors -
win, ilnux, unix, aix, solaris, etc) and allow us to input information
like what cabinet it is in, what part of the datacenter, what vlan,
add misc. notes to the object/server, etc.
price is not an issue. we currently are using a program that does this
but it is all manual and i do not want to rely on admins and tech
staff to input information or update the database when a new server is
brought online or taken offline.
