I want my users to have access to our intranet site. Is it possible to set the intranet site as the start page for all users?

I recommend you look at Scriptlogic's http://www.scriptlogic.com (Desktop Authority). We recently ended up with the building process of intranet side for our south office and needed to change settings for users to point them to new site. That was pretty simple to do with Desktop Authority. We've just set new settings and refreshed them on user machines. Next new day users logged into their computers they got IE started with new intranet site launched in it.

Yes. In the appropriate GPO -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Internet Explorer -> Disable changing home page settings you can control user's ability to change the home page and what that home page is.

Sorry, this only works for IE.
