Good evening gentlemen:

I'd apreciate Your advice on what to look for, or do to avoid an
IntraNetwork from crashing, components are part Windows and part Novell, the
server has Windows NT 4.0 OS, includes arround sixty five computers, most of
which have Windows NT 4.0, some have Windows 2000 and fewer have Windows XP
Profesional OS.

For periods of time the server is down at a rate of once every seven to ten
days, and for long periods of time it is whitout event.
My questions are;
what are the causes or factors that lead to a downed system?..
and what can be done to secure the system from future events?...

I'd apreciate some instructions on what to do and(or) lead me to a web page
where I can read about it..

I thank You for your priceless help.

The reasons may vary from the software to hardware malfunction like bad
drivers or overheated CPU, so Event log is the start place.
You can narrow your search in the NT NGs microsoft.public.windowsnt.*.
BTW, Jose, the Novell part slipped the network somehow.
