Next:  web drive.. when I change a document, the changes..

Post subject: Hardware requirements for domain controller?

Hi, I would like to ask a question.
I want to upgrate my Domain Controller from win2000 to win2003
So i want to know what kind of server (" Hardware ") i have to buy
I have 2000 user on it and several Policies and logon scripts

If you have any ideas, please enlighting me

It's really difficult to answer that. If your server is *just* a domain
controller, it doesn't need very much hardware firepower. But if you have
2000 users, I'd sure hope you have many domain controllers! Please be a bit
more specific about your current network configuration and I'm sure you'll
get some help.

You still have not provided enough information:

1) Do you want to replace 1 server or all servers?
2) Do you want to move functions from 1 or more servers to the new?
3) What functions do each server perform?
4) If you are also going to provide file shares, what size is your
current storage and what do you expect for the next 2 years?
5) What backup process do you use?
6) Do you have licensing already in place?
7) What access to professional IT Consultants do you have?

2) no, i will put new servers
3)each server performes only Active Directory and Dns Services ( e.g.
Policy, logon scripts, Dns etc)
4)no Filesharing, for this job i have Fileservers
5)IBM Tivoli
