If you upgraded from WSUS 2.0 SP1 (contained in the R2 Technologies) to WSUS

there is no "previous versions" to get rid of.

You can *uninstall* the previously used WMSDE database engine.

2GB might be an accurate indication, depending on how many products,
languages, and systems you're updating from your SBS system.

The wsusutil tool is in \Program Files\Update Services\Tools
The Client Diagnostic Tool is downloadable through the WSUS website or the
Microsoft Download Center.
