Post subject: Exchange SP1 default installation path vs. DB path?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>sbs (more info?)

Tommorow I'm scheduled to install SBS SP1 and I have a question about
Exchange SP1. According to page 28 of the walkthrough on
www.smallbizserver.net I will be prompted where to install the Exchange
files. The default installation path is "C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr".
However due to size constraints on the C: partition (dell installed
partition), I moved the database to "D:\exchsrvr". The only folder in that
directory is the "MDBData" folder. Now the questions I have are:
1. Do I install SP1 to the default directory?

2. If I install SP1 to the default directory, will it repoint the database
to its default location at "C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr"?
