Post subject: Distributed file shares with WSS??
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>setup (more info?)

I've been researching how to provide efficient data access to our multi-site
Server2003 network. Seems like the new remote differential compression stuff
in R2 is a good way to have a distributed storage architecture but provide a
single namespace for users...

My problem is that what do I do for data stored in the Sharepoint database?
Is there a way to replicate this between sites to provide "responsive access"
to the files, but make sure that the "copies" still stay synced?

If the "free" WSS 3.0 doesn't do it, will MOSS do it if we upgrade to the
paid product??

Thanks in advance!

-Matt
