Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>server>general (more info?)

We recently updated our Windows 2003 Sharepoint Server with Windows
Service Pack 1 and Sharepoint Services Service Pack 2. We are running
our site as an extranet and we have an external DMZ nic card and an
internal DNS card and everything was running fine before the update and
all services are started. Since the updates we have not been able to
access the site externally - we get a "page cannot be displayed error".
The external card shows that there is a connection. Here are a few of
the errors we are getting in the event log:

Dynamic registration or deletion of one or more DNS records associated
with DNS domain 'DomainDnsZones.website.external.' failed

We were also getting some "binding" issues. We are using host headers
for our website. Please let me know if more information is needed to
help. Thank you.

This is a really good read for me. Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. SharePoint is basically a web based management system that enables employees to collect and configure resources through a common platform.
